RAID = Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks.
In simple terms, it's a way 2 lock 2 or more disks in2 an array, working as 1 big disk.
There r several arrays available, named RAID 0,1,2,3 etc.
U could 4 example join 2 disks 4 backup (data is written twice, on2 each disk) or for speed (data is split between 2 disks thus making seek time shorter).
As 4 ur gear, connect the disk 2 IDE 1, and the burner 2 IDE 2.
4get the raid. A good disk should b fast enough, and in most DAWs U can read from several disks @ 1ce.
Even if U add a disk, U need 2 know what U're doing, or it may SLOW DOWN ur DAW's speed...
Peace,
